Day of the African Child Event

This an international day celebrated all over the world every year on June 16 th to recognize the importance and the needs of the African children. Children are also given a chance to be heard and helped to realize their identity. Children in the Sponsorship ministry walk in Kawangware community with placards and slogans against children vices. The children are also treated to games and activities that help recognize their talents. The d ay of the African child is a global event that is celebrated globally in commemoration of black school children in Soweto, South Africa who took to the streets in 1976, marched for more than a half mile, to protest against inferior quality education and demand their right to be taught in their own language.
