Kawangware Guardians Train on ‘Self Development’
Kawangware guardians’ training on ‘Self Development’ occurred on June 5th, 2010 at Full Gospel Church. The training was facilitated by Jael Esibi, Director, Family Medical & Psychological Counseling Centre. Jael helped guardians address challenges faced in their pursuit for self development. Some of the hurdles such as overdependence on aid, lack of commitment, lack of trust amongst guardians in their support groups, time management and impatience hindered guardians from self development. Jael encouraged guardians to embrace teamwork, patience, transparency, good customer care, recordkeeping and good time management for them to develop. “We learn from challenges and you need to know that there is no gain without pain,” said Jael. Sellah Nafula, CCP Director Of Operations, informed guardians that CCP existed to empower them develop spiritually, psychosocially, economically and hygienically. After the training, the guardians’ received their monthly bag of food.
