CCP Staff Honor Gloria Muliro
A farewell party in honor of Gloria Muliro, outgoing Educational Ministry Lead, and the longest serving teacher in the Educational Ministry, was held on June 3rd, at CCP’s Community Center, Kawangware. Gloria joined CCP in June 2005 as an Advanced Tuition teacher before transitioning to Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) teacher in January 2006, a position she held until December 2009. Her passion, hard work, dedication and desire to work with children led to her elevation to the position of Educational Ministry Lead in Jan 2010. Gloria appreciated the staff for helping her become a better person. “CCP has been a ground to discover about myself more than I knew about myself. I’m going away a different Gloria, not as I came,” she said. Gloria, a song bird and local gospel artist, would be transitioning from CCP to embark on her talent in music industry. She has released one Luhya album called ‘Mwami Aletsa’ which means ‘God is coming back’ and recently released a second Swahili album called ‘Ombi Langu’ meaning ‘My Prayer.’ Her grateful work and the impact she made to children, guardians and the staff would be remembered. We will really miss her singing but we pray for God’s favor in her family, music and any other God’s assignment in her life.
