Three pre teens gave their lives to Christ at a rally on ‘God’s Attributes’ held on May 29th, 2010 at CCP’s Community Center, Kawangware. 'Worth The Wait' team from Kenya Youth For Christ ministry, ministered through story telling, singing, skit, dancing, testifying and a sermon from John Miere. Miere shared from the Bible in the book of 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. He pointed out that God loves and cares for everyone just like he did to Jabez. Jabez meant pain, but he (Jabez) asked God to bless him be free from pain. Miere emphasized three important factors that determine one’s future; thoughts, words and actions. Just like Jabez thought positively of himself, Miere encouraged the group to emulate Jabez and said that whatever one thought, he/she became. Thoughts propel one speak failure or success but the group had a choice to make the kind of life they wanted. Miere spurred the group to take action and not focus on their situations for God was with them. “Take action for your future because you can do all things through Christ who strengthens us,” Miere concluded.
