Junior Youth, Pre Teens and Children from the Sponsorship, Education and Spiritual Ministries’ programs attended Vacation Bible School (VBS) on the themes “Attributes of God” and “Purity” respectively from April 12th to 16th, 2010 at the CCP’s Community Center, Kawangware. Seven Pre Teens gave their lives to Christ. The children VBS held in the morning for the five days centered on the attributes of God being Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Sovereign and Immutable. Similarly, the five day’s Pre Teens and Junior Youth VBS on ‘Purity’ was held in the afternoons. They covered topics such as Beauty within comprising self image, acceptance and confidence. Others were the Three pillars of a purposeful life (knowledge, understanding, and wisdom), Peer pressure, Process of right living and the Value of life. For the first time ever, the Pre Teens and Junior Youth learnt First Aid, Photography, Fine Art and Singing skills. At the same time, they had practical sessions for the same. Outstanding children in discipline, cleanliness and participation were awarded certificates. On the other hand, the Pre Teens and Junior Youth who excelled in participation, responsibility and punctuality were also awarded certificates. On Friday, children, Pre Teens and the Junior Youth received a gift packet containing clothes, books, pens, toys, among others courtesy of the African Pride Center . We appreciate the organization for the gifts. Vacation Bible School is held twice a year during the April and August holidays. The word of God is taught through games, music, crafts and Bible sessions.
