Staff Prayer Day
The staff prayer day was held on February 1st, 2009 at the CCP’s Community Center, Kawangware. The day was a continuation of a six week Staff training on Follow Up program. In addition to Affirmation, Salvation, Assurance, and God’ Word, the staff covered the last two steps of Follow Up being Prayer and the Church. Pastor Francis Kataka, the Spiritual Site Manager, led the staff in sharing the Holy Communion as a sign of unity in remembrance of the death of Jesus Christ. Thereafter, he shared the word of God from the Bible in the book of Ps. 133:1-3. Pst. Francis encouraged the staff to unite in body, mind, heart, soul, and purpose as they embarked on the Follow Up program. “United we stand divided we fall,” Pst. Francis remarked. He reminded the staff that God commanded a blessing where there was unity and therefore requested them to work together whole heartedly as they follow up the new believers. They were later divided into groups and assigned new believers to be followed beginning February 6th. Currently, the Follow Up program has 52 new believers involving children, pre teens, junior youth and adults. In the afternoon, the staff prayed for the new believers. At the same time, the staff were divided into groups of three and led through practical sessions of Follow Up. Follow Up program helps new believers be sure of their salvation and be established in the Christian faith. Every staff is to follow up a minimum of 5 new believers throughout the year.
