Staff 'Follow Up' Training
The staff “Follow Up” training took place on January 8th, 2009 at CCP’s Community Center, Kawangware. The training started with the staff sharing the Holy Communion and praying together. Francis Kataka, the Spiritual Site Manager and facilitator defined Follow Up as a process of laying foundation to the new believers by helping them be sure of their salvation and establishing them in the faith. Six areas of focus are: Affirmation, Salvation, Assurance, God’s Word, Prayer and Church. The training will take two days and thereafter the staff will be divided into groups of two or three and expected to follow five groups of new believers in 2010. This will be in line with CCP’s Mission statement “...committted to bringing people into a dynamic relationship with Jesus….” After the Follow UP process, the groups will get into a discipleship program to help new believers get rooted and grounded in their relationship with God. The ultimate goal will be to help believers live a quality way of life that demonstrates biblical truth and glorifies God. The staff covered the Affirmation and Salvation topics and has four more topics to cover before they can begin the process.
